this is my last blog.
dear loyal blog observers,
i do not regret to inform you that this will be my last blog. in all honesty, my last post was supposed to be the finale to my lengthy opera, the cherry on top of a pie that has been baking for a couple of years. forcing my creative juices to spill onto this website has taken a toll on my health and the doctor has ordered that i discontinue my "juice-squeezing", if you will.
however, one man (a hero, really) has prompted me to post one last blog.
this post is a tribute to a true friend, joe west.
dear joe,
i am sorry i must cease to blog. you are a rather large jewel in the crown of society. you sparkle in the sunlight and make the queen look fancier. you are kept in the louvre because it would be a shame if people didn't get to see you whenever they want. you sit on people's heads and shout, hey, this person is my friend (metaphorically, that is). thank you for your loyalty and your compliments. i will name one of my hats after you (maybe the grey one, you always liked that one best).

livin' the life, summer 2008
the next seventy two hours may be the best seventy two hours i've ever had.
starting in an hour and forty five minutes, my parents are taking me, kelsey, kaleigh, my sister, and my g-parents to la fondue, the most delicious restaurant i have ever been to in my 18 years on this earth. it is delicious.
then, tomorrow afternoon i leave for los angeles, california, where i will be drooling thirty rows from the stage at a death cab for cutie concert. tickets were lovingly supplied by my kaleigh as a graduation gift and really, i couldn't be more excited. a night in a hotel follows.
when we wake, we will be driven by my cute mom to los angeles international airport, where we will board an airplane and fly to the beautiful vacation destination of hawaii.
from then on, i will be lying on the beach, applying suntan lotion, eating pineapple and sleeping in.
see you in a week, blog.
